WELCOME TO BISHOPS GALLERY !

Composers - are sometimes funnier than anybody. Bishops are in some countries known as jesters or jokers or even fools.( I am referring to chessmen , naturally ). That is why the Bishops Gallery will display joke problems or other curios of our trade.

We will start with a series of contenders for a mate with least number of moves. As it turns out , anything with integral numbers , like "mate in 1" , is far too long   for this competition.

So , the jokes are on you ! If  you find the problems obscure , do not worry , the solutions are even less clear.
